Making Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests

Effective use of freedom of information law is essential for holding Government to account and ensuring transparency. This session will cover Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests, including procedure, exemptions, getting the information you need and, importantly, how to appeal the decision when you don’t, including Tribunal appeal of ICO decisions.

Lawyers, organisations, researchers and individuals needing to obtain information from Government which is not accessible by other means.
