Strategic Legal Advice Committee (SLAC) & Justice Together Initiative (JTI) present:

Judicial Review for NGOsThe Basics

A basic guide to judicial review for those  who want a better understanding of what it is, how it works and how it might be relevant to your work.  Our expert panel of speakers includes a mixture of lawyers and campaign / NGO professionals, from the Public Law Project, Doughty Street Chambers, Detention Action, Medical Justice and Citizens UK.

Please Note:

  • Event attendance is by invitation only
  • There is a nominal fee for every delegate of £20, which includes lunch and refreshments for the in person event on 10th July.
  • Both online and in person workshops are live and will not be recorded.
  • All bookings assume that delegates will attend both events, as the 7th online event prepares delegates for the in person event on 10th. The alternative ticket option is to attend online for 10th, though  we emphasize that we really would like people to attend the 10th in person, if at all possible.
  • If you need any further clarification please e-mail [email protected]

The second day is being kindly hosted by Doughty Street Chambers.

Please note that this course concerns judicial review (JR) in the jurisdiction of England and Wales.  Whilst there may be some similarities with JR in Northern Ireland and Scotland, they are different jurisdictions and they are not specifically  covered in the course.
