Nick Armstrong and Alex Rook Published: 13th October 2011 This paper looks at case law developing in the Court of Protection , including the Court’s welfare jurisdiction and the difference between restriction of freedom and deprivation of liberty. It aims to remind public lawyers of the existence of the Court of Protection , to explain some of the developments taking place there , and to show how its jurisprudence crossfertilises to other areas.
