Could PLP’s Welfare Rights Hub help you and your organisation?

PLP is now able to offer the following support to NGOs, advice organisations, charities and law centres:

–          Advice on complex public law issues in welfare rights cases

–          Training on how to spot and address public law issues in the social welfare system

–          Research and guidance on key issues faced by your clients and beneficiaries

–          Legal support and advice for test cases and judicial reviews

The aim of our Hub is to help frontline organisations to deal with complex cases. We have already identified several widespread issues which we are working to address, including:

–          Discrimination benefit sanctions referrals and applications

–          Unlawful recovery of overpayments and hardship payments

–          Unreasonable delays in the assessment of health-related benefits
