Published: 29th June 2017 PLP is greatly saddened to hear that Lord Toulson has passed away at the relatively young age of 70. Roger Toulson was greatly respected throughout the profession, and we have little to add to the thoughtful and heartfelt tribute given by Lord Neuberger. Lord Toulson made a particularly thoughtful and memorable closing address to the Public Law Project annual conference last year, for which we are hugely grateful. We would like to give our condolences to Lady Toulson and his family, and add to the many voices noting his sophistication and intellect in judgment, and distinctly kind and approachable personality. He will be hugely missed but well remembered and, as Lord Neuberger has noted, his considerable legacy will persist. Lord Neuberger tribute at the Supreme Court website Artcile in Law society Gazette
