Published: 6th November 2018 The UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Professor Philip Alston, is visiting the UK between 5 and 16 November 2018. Following on from PLP’s written submissions, published in advance of his visit, we will be attending a roundtable with him on 12 November to discuss access to justice and problem debt. PLP has long been concerned about the impact of cuts to legal aid on access to justice, and we welcome the opportunity to meet with Professor Alston.
