The Public Law Project is pleased to confirm that it will be able to provide more focused and direct public law support in Wales as of 2020.

A key part of this support will be a new PLP lawyer focused on Wales. Our current plans are for this role to:

  • Work with civil society organisations supporting vulnerable groups to develop co-ordinated referral pathways to specialist help, and
  • Bring cases and undertake advocacy and policy work with the aim of improving access to judicial review for disadvantaged groups

PLP has been running an annual Wales conference for over a decade. During that time we have built up understanding of some of the significant access to justice challenges in Wales, as well as the beginnings of a strong network. We are currently developing our knowledge and expertise in this area with our network.

We know that our strength lies in collaboration with lawyers, judges, campaigners, advisers, NGOs, decision makers and our wider community and we would encourage anyone well placed to assist us to please get in touch with h.moxsom@publiclawproject.org.uk.
