Nationality and Borders Bill: access to justice under threat

As the Nationality and Borders Bill goes to report stage, we set out why proposed Government amendments will restrict access to justice and undermine the fairness of the system.

Responding to over 80 additional amendments to the Bill since it was considered at committee stage, our briefing to MPs raises concerns that proposed amendments will:

• weaken procedural protection, and
• create a system where people with a legitimate basis to stay in the UK can be removed without effective access to justice.
