Public Law Project is a legal and social justice charity that advances fairness in society through public law. 

Our vision

Our vision is a fair and inclusive society secured by a just and confident state. To achieve this vision, we must ensure that: 

  • The frontiers of public law are advanced and protected 
  • Justice is accessible to all 
  • No one is marginalised in society by those with power 

We are working to deliver this strategy through casework, research, policy advocacy, communications, and training. 

Our work will be underpinned by our values: striving for equity, sharing expertise, acting with courage and working, as ever, in collaboration.

Our work so far

For over 30 years, our researchers, lawyers, and public law policy experts have represented and supported marginalised individuals and communities who have been affected by unlawful state decision-making. 

We have been involved in era-defining issues, from working on the prorogation of Parliament case to dismantling the Rwanda immigration policy and becoming a leading voice on public sector use of automation and AI.
