Published: 26th November 2014 We are seeking an experienced lawyer to head our casework team for a year during a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will also manage a major and exciting project concerned with the availability of legal aid and help formulate the strategic direction of our work during that time. There is scope for flexibility in the final job description, but we expect that you will be a practising solicitor or barrister with significant experience of public law/judicial review litigation. Ideally, you will have a proven track record of strategic working, of ensuring the financial performance of a small team, and of project development and/or fundraising. Although the role is temporary, there is a lot of scope for innovation. PLP has plans to expand and there will be potential for the right candidate to be offered a role beyond the fixed term, including on a permanent basis.
