Frances Patterson QC Published: 12th July 2012 Frances Patterson QC , Public Law Commissioner at The Law Commission , recorded at our Public Law and Judicial Review North conference on 12 July 2012. The government is promising “…the most significant single reform of adult social care law for 60 years” after the Law Commission published its proposals for reform of legislation governing care and support for older and disabled people , those with mental health problems and carers. Following the publication of the White Paper on 11th July , Frances looks at the government’s response to the Law Commission’s recommendations and considers the future reform of the law.
